I truly believe it’s no longer enough to simply seek mental wellness, you have to be an advocate for your needs.
If I’m totally honest this did not come easily or naturally to me! I’m a people pleaser and will take care of everyone else before myself - or at least I used to. I was able to shift from feeling like it was selfish to support my needs, to advocating for them, everything began to change.
