Waking up in a panic? Here's how to feel good again.
Do you ever wake up with a panic loop spinning in your head, before your eyes are even open? What an awful way to start the day, right?
I've absolutely been there, where I'm halfway between sleep and being awake, but already my long list of what the day holds is shuffling thru my brain creating a feeling of overwhelm and anxiety - and gain I'm not even fully awake!
I wanted to share with you my most powerful way to break free of this pattern because it does become a pattern if you don't learn ways to get ahead of it.
My best way to stop panic in the morning is to clear your head before going to bed. It makes perfect sense, clear your mind before bed and you'll not only have better sleep but you'll also free yourself of worries that you've unconsciously been hanging onto from the day before. So simple!
I've talked about an adult bedtime routine, and this is all part of it. When you ease your body into sleep, you're telling your body it's safe to relax and unwind. Then if you add in a 5-minute meditation or breathwork, you can clear any remaining stress you're holding onto (and may not even be aware of).
Freeing yourself of stress at night, allows your body to rest more soundly and wake up feeling refreshed instead of anxious and unsettled.
I’m curious, what hits home for you? Have you tried a bedtime routine for yourself? Let me know your thoughts and tips for ditching the panic loop and feeling good again!
