You don’t have to do this alone
Did you hear the news? I wrote a book, and it’s out in the world! You may be wondering “why did she write a book?” So I’d love to share the answer with you.
I’ve spent a lot of years keeping experiences to myself, not knowing what to do with them, and questioning how they can serve others. I’ve finally broken thru that wall, because I know that if my story touches one heart then my step outside my comfort zone to share my vulnerable experiences was worth it.
As I began putting together my stories of raising a daughter with mental health struggles, I had a revelation. My stories are not unique. My stories are simply my version of a story that’s being told in so many homes day in and day out, but I sadly don’t see these stories being told. I want that to end, I want us to come together to share our stories, to have a safe place to come together, so you & I no longer feel so alone in our journey.
What I learned is that my stories aren’t unique, instead they are one chapter in a bigger story being told. All too often, these stories aren’t shared, they stay stuck inside us. We need to hear true stories of struggles, resilience and finding hope. I am sharing my stories so you can feel empowered to share yours.
You don’t have to do this alone, you we were never meant to.
At the end of the day I wrote this book so all mamas, whether you have a child with mental health struggles or not, feel validated that motherhood is hard. My hope is that this book will help you feel seen and supported.
